THE IDEA

I started RFMD because I wanted to build clothing the same way I want to build the rest of my life: by actually making things, learning as I go, and getting better through the work.

RFMD is for people who are still becoming. The clothes are made by hand, and some evidence of that process is allowed to stay. The reworked detail, the slight asymmetry, the imperfect line — none of it is there by accident. BUILD. CREATE. IMPROVE.

Indigo pinstripe / Red stitch

The Pinstripe

Light pinstripe denim with a relaxed, slightly wide straight-leg silhouette, exposed button fly, double-knee construction, and signature red stitching. The mule pockets are finished in matching denim, with the raw side turned outward to let the fabric’s character remain visible.

Built by hand, with the construction left visible. The details are not decoration added at the end; they are part of how the piece is made.

Recovered military canvas / Olive

Field / Green

Cut from a former military duffel bag, Field / Green carries the marks of a material that existed before it became a pair of pants. The olive canvas, utilitarian details, and intentionally distressed finish lean into the character of old military garments rather than trying to make the material look new. Scuffs, faded lettering, and irregularities give the recovered fabric a history of its own. Reworked by hand, each detail lets that previous life remain part of the garment.

The bag had a life before RFMD. The aim was not to erase it, but to carry its character forward into a new form.

Everyday Form

A relaxed, wide-leg blue denim built for everyday wear. Cut from approximately 11 oz denim, the silhouette keeps things simple while considered pocket construction, visible hardware, and subtle handmade details give the familiar blue jean a character of its own. Easy to wear, made to live in, and designed to become part of your regular rotation.

FIELD NOTE / THE UNPLANNED PIECE

This pair began as something made for myself, not as a planned addition to the collection. The more I wore it, the more it felt like a piece worth sharing. Everyday Form is a reminder that not every good thing starts with a grand plan—sometimes you make something you love, keep refining it, and realize it belongs in the world.

Black denim / White vine stitch

Noir Vine

A loose black denim silhouette with white stitching and vine-like artwork worked directly into the garment. Wide legs, oversized pocket geometry, and visible construction give the piece its weight, while the hand-drawn character of the stitching makes each detail feel considered rather than mass-produced.

FIELD NOTE / THE MARK

The line is allowed to feel drawn, not mechanical. The artwork belongs to the construction of the piece—not to a graphic placed on top of it.

WHY RFMD

I DIDN’T WANT TO
WAIT UNTIL I WAS FINISHED.

I started RFMD because I was tired of the idea that you have to have everything figured out before you start making something worth caring about.

I wanted to build clothing the same way I want to build the rest of my life: with intention, with discipline, and with enough humility to keep learning. That means starting with what I have, changing what doesn’t work, and letting the finished piece carry some evidence of the work that made it.

RFMD is for people in the process — building, creating, improving, and becoming.
